By ATL_Red_G35:
This is an upgrade to the 2006 Infiniti OEM headlamps.
This new headlamp eliminate the use of older D2R HID Technology used in 2003-2005 G35 Coupe models. This newer style headlamp uses Projectors with D2S Bulbs, provdide a better focus and cut-off lines. They also have brighter output compared to the previous generation. The High beam is also HID light thanks to the use of D2S bulbs in the projector. This eliminate the older ugly yellowish look of the high beam integrated into the fog lamp.
However, this model doesn't have the clearance strip light, which to my opinion is a nice style used in the 03-05 lamps. However, I don't really miss it much.
Overall:
Better Light output, better focus, looks nicer, and high beam & Fog light are separated and can be used in conjunction with each other.

Well, I got into an accident and busted my driverside headlamp. After seeing how much it was going to cost to replace the one lamp from the dealership ($900), I decided to upgrade to the 06+ projectors (that was a good excuse anyway). I bought the housings from Riverside Infiniti. They came with everything minus the bulbs. I bought some 8000K D2S bulbs and some 4400K bulbs for the fogs. All said and done, I got both driver and passenger assemblies for about the price of one 03-05 headlamp. I am VERY happy with the high and low beam, but I am disapointed in the fogs. I wish they had a whiter look, but that can be changed. I would highly recommend the 06+ projector conversion if for nothing else, more safety for night driving.
