Pros:
|
Sound Clarity, Build Quality, Tweeter sound is not as high as MB Q
|
|
Cons:
|
Reproduce Sound, Lack of punch for the woofer, Ear fatigue after few hours (due to loud volume)
|
|
I hooked the tweeter and woofer on my home audio:
I tried to listen to variety of music to come up with my opinion:
Eurotrance (Aycan - Divided)
The tweeter just doing the job for this song, the sound being produced on the tweeter just seem right, the woofer helps by producing the surround quality needed for this song. For this type of music, the sound produce from the tweeter would somehow sound more 'laid-back' than the rest: 9/10
Hip-Hop (Timbaland - The Way I Are)
The surround sounds awesome, the combination of the tweeter and woofer produce great quality of sound for this type of music. However, due to the size of the woofer, it simply lacked the punch needed for this type of music. This can be solved by installing a sub in your trunk: 8.5/10
Slow-Rock (One Republic - Apologize)
The bass just right. Sound from the tweeter is great, however, due to the high freq produces on the tweeter, some parts on the song can be annoying sometimes (when it comes to " it's too lateEE...."), it just hurt your ear. The musical instrument played on this song sounds great: 8/10
Musical (Kenny G - The moment)
It's like listening to someone playing saxophone in a club where the club is equipped with great audio system instead of listening on a person playing it on the street. Great sound but if you are looking for more natural sound then it's not for you: 8/10
Pop (Michelle Branch - Breath)
It's perfect! It just somehow produces a type of sound like sitting on a VIP seat on an expensive concert! 10/10
Rock (Lost Prophets - Rooftops)
Again, the surround is doing a great job, however, the tweeter seems to have 'high pitch' output and 'seems to work separately' sometimes (lost). Not the best here. 7.5/10
Conclusion: If you want to look for a sound that produce natural sound then this speaker might not be for you. This speaker seems to enhance the song you are listening to and try to make it more like 'studio quality' sound. Like MBQ, your ear would feel tired after a while due to the material used for the tweeter. The sound being produced is more 'in front' of you and not 'laid back'. Tweeter obviously can be better but it doesn't mean it's bad.
