Installing/Uninstalling Kinetix Traction Rods

Hey guys.. I'm sure everyone knows by now that I am taking my G35 back to stock. I've taken off probably over half the parts so far. Last night I swapped out the Kinetix camber arms and Eibach springs with the factory ones.

I ran into some problems however when trying to get the Kinetix Traction Rods off. There are only two bolts that hold the bars in place but one of the bolts (the one not by the wheel hub) is extremely hard to get to. I couldn't get to it with a socket or with an adjustable wrench. To those of you that have installed the traction rods, are there any pointers?

I remember (when doing mine) that we took some pliers and bent the sheet metal away from the area and then pounded it back with a hammer.
