13.6s on the strip
yup I got a 13.6 @ like 101 at the southeast Z shootout
my best mph was 102 something but I think I got a 13.7 on that run
sorry for being vague, the slips are still in the car.
I was having problems getting hooked up all day, I couldn't get better than a 1.9 60'. I just couldn't get the tires heated up enough. either that or I was launching too high. I tried 4k, 4.5k, 5k and 5.5k rpms. It was the first time back on the strip in a while so maybe I was just a bit rusty. I was also missing my spare and I was on empty, so maybe a little more weight in back would've helped.
all in all it was a fun day, I was running 13.8s pretty consistently. I even missed third and still got a 13.8. I don't think I had to wait in the staging lines once. Just take a run, come back and go again. By the end of the day I'd driven 6+ miles on the strip

Nice Times Joe!
I guess assuming our cars had the same Rubber out back, our G's would be pretty close...
Your 13.6 @101 with Slicks, and my 13.8 @101 on street Tires...

I think we'd be dead even now. except if you're sleeping at the wheel.
Tony got a 14.1(not sure of his speed) but since I've never run against him before it was kind of hard to compare. And there was a Z running like 14.4s.
I wish you and Chops could've made it today.

Yea, it's a shame the two events were on the same day. But considering the lack of traction I'm getting with my worn out SO-3's, drifting was my only real option...

25 runs that day
just the mods in my sig. And unfortunatly yes I'm still NA. MT ET Streets, although I couldn't get better than a 1.9 60', I think it was because I didn't have enough weight in the back(no spare and an empty tank). Oh and I'm rockin them on pontiac rims, maybe switch to a set of 300ZX rims.
I think if I can get them heated up and get some traction, I should be able to get at very least a 1.8 60' but a 1.7 would be even better.
I really wasn't in the grove that day, I kept missing 3rd, hitting the rev limiter, couldn't get the tires heated up right and I wasn't shifting at the right rpms. I had problems on 75% of my runs and yet I managed to get 13.8xx on like 75%. So I think 13.5s maybe even 13.4s are possible.
another 30hp and I might be able to get 12s

If ya can, gimme some more info on the wheels you used so I can keep my eye out on a set. Aren't you afraid of breaking an axle launching that hard? Damn!!! Nice runs to say the least!!

Canton doesn't post very much anymore. But yes, those were slicks mounted on some Pontiac rims.
He should have been able to pull a 1.7" on the slicks, but it would take some practice and launching with slicks at 5000 rpm will take its toll on the car.
The last time I was at the strip I did a 13.6" 1/4 with a 2.1" or 2.2" 60' time (can't remember) and it shook my exhaust loose. I was running on my street tires (Proxy T1s).
btw, the best I ever did at this particular track n/a was a 14.39" on drag radials.
