boooo, i got my first scratch...i'm thankful the bumper didn't get a dent nor did the paint chip, but it makes me oh so sad.

Has anyone, with an Ivory Pearl G35c, ever got a chance to use Nissan's factory touch-up paint??? I have an Ivory Pearl one, and the paint's got a lil sparkle to it. Will the touch-up paint show? would the patch be visible?!?!?!

The factory touch-up paint I had for my 03 Ivory Pearl sedan sucked! I would shake it more that Charro ever dreamed of and it was still like water. I got it because I had a nasty scratch on the front license plate cover. It worked so poorly I just took the cover off and put an old Quebec tag on it. I read somewhere afterwards that the paint now comes in a "kit" with 2 vials, one for your paint and one for the clear coat, so maybe that works better. Check with your dealer. If they don't know anything about the new "kit" I still have my touch-up paint and you're welcome to it. Post back and let me know if you want it.

I use to have a Honda Prelude in white pearl a while back. beautiful color.

Anyway, what you want to do is first get some white primer or base paint.
If the scratch is not into the metal, you can go to a hobby store and get
some flat white enamel paint. Use that as your basecoat.

Then after the white dries, go over it with your Nissan touchup paint (pearl).

Pearls are usually tri-coat..meaning there is 3 layers of paint to get that
effect. One reason why most bodyshops have a hard time matching white
pearls.

My dealer gave me free touch up paint wit the car...but keep in mind if you do use the touch up paint shake it up real good before using and use the back end of a match or something smooth that way you wont leave a rough surface find something very smooth to apply it with dont use the brush that comes with it.
