July Meeting of Georgia G and Z Club

Hey guys,

The last meeting was a blast. Thanks again to JDG35 and Chicklet for coming up from Columbus. The next meet will be at Manuel's Tavern on July 30th. :toast: Since it is on a Saturday we are meeting a little later so it can cool off some (if it isn't raining!) :lighting:. Also this will allow for other Saturday activities before the meet. Meet at 5:00 p.m.

Found from previous discussion in June.....

"Up for discussion. Time is set for 5:00 for Manuel's Tavern on Saturday July 30. Is this too early or just right. The summer is coming on and it isn't going to rain forever. When it stops the temps at 5:00pm could possibly be in the 90's. 6:00 could still be in the 90's but closer to cooling off than for the evening 5:00. Please vote."

We should be going by Manuels in the next couple of weekends to see how the parking is and to tell them we are coming. Never seem to be sitting around at 5 to go by, but they do have 2 parking lots.

We had a few minutes to stop by on Sunday for a beer and got the name of someone to speak with to make sure they have enough staff and stuff. We may be able to have a room where we can congregate, but they are not keen on separate checks. Jeremy should have more details after speaking with them further.

So far, we know the hot dogs are good and the house brew (602 HIghland or 620 Highland) is really good. The bartender said that at 5 it isn't too crowded yet so we should be able to get spaces together. It starts picking up after 5 (I think they said closer to 6) and then gets pretty crowded with the Saturday drinkers.

That sounds good. I'm not too sure about the check deal considering that we are all dutch. Maybe they will pull through if we say that we would make it there a few times a year... :wink:

Hopefully that other lot will be okay and empty so we can park all together and not worry about being scattered. :ugh:

That means I have to pick them up when they get back. They were originally coming back next Sunday (she thought) Guess what time they arrive:
