not sure if this is the correct site to ask this question, but here goes: several members of you that i met for the first time at gilleys have done a number of upgrades/enhancements to your engines...from crawfords to cold air intakes to vortech superchargers. my question is this: do any of these upgrades void the warranty? i would like to add some "go fast" parts to my '04, but not at the expense of the warranty. as this is my first post, please be gentle. and if this has been discussed ad nausem in some past post, i apologize.
thanks

it can only void the warranty if it is directly related to the problem. heres a link with the legal act:

Pretty much anything you do other than an oil change can void some PART of a car's warranty.
Actually, now that I think of it, an oil change can also, just depends on who does it and whatever.

Normally, bolt on mods will not be the direct cause of a failure and should not cause the dealer to deny warranty.....but again, it depends on the dealer.
Now a bolt on .....such a Vortec SC.....would be a different story.

you will not have any problem with the direct bolt on aftermarket parts. we install them everyweek with no warranty problems....

thanks for all the info. blscoupe, this is a question for you. are you saying that there will be no problem with the warranty if i have a DEALER install these items..or if any shop installs them?? (if i remember right, i think you said you work for gwinnett infiniti?)
