Not that I am aware of. The key factor with this over the Porter Cable is that if you apply pressure to this machine, it will not slow the motor down. When I spoke with Matt at Detailing Dynamics, he mentioned alot of the pluses of this machine. He only recently threw away an original one he had for 10yrs. Keep in mind that he uses it professionally and his 10yrs of use is probably equivalent to 2-3 lifetimes of my use. Great machine, nicely balanced and the handle is placed ontop and not to the side. Matt has a big pet peeve about the side handles!! Also, this can be rebuilt very easily and inexpensively. Every few yrs or so, you can replace the brushes and it will be good as new!!!

Joe that's the best part! It doesn't get hot and you can't burn the paint!!!!! Think of it as the porter cable on steroids without the side effects!!!

Here are the pics! Keep in mind that you will see lots of powder in the after pics and a few blemishes that needed to be wiped off but I wanted to get some pics in so here they are. Keep in mind I was only able to finish 2 of the 3 steps so basically the shine coat is not even on it yet!!! The cyclo worked great and the products, Steps 1-2 so far, from DETAILING DYNAMICS are amazing!!! I also debadged the last remaining emblem I had and added CF rear taillight lids!
Here are the Before's

I never held the porter cable but I believe they make 2 versions one is about 4 ounces lighter. It is a lil heavy, but u need to have some weight in order for it to work properly. Well worth the slight back ache! A lift would be ideal!!! LOL

Diesel,
Hey.....I have an idea.....
Since it is not one of those things you use everyday.......howabout...
you make us a weekly rental rate and ship it down South so us GA boys can have our black cars looking good also?????
Diesel1

One of you GA boys should buy one or a few of you should each chip in and get one! Great machine!!! If you get 4 peeps it will be less then $100 a person. All you may need extra of is chemicals. Step one is more aggresive and doesn't spread as far as Step 3 which 2 dime size drops will do almost half of the hood! They are only 8oz bottles so ya know, it can get used up quick! We ended up doin 2 cars and I know I have more then half left of everything!
