I say break it in. At least 1k miles before you start messing with it.

Your Dealer....is a MORON!
Any engine needs some break in period to get everything seated right.

I know...even if they told me that it's already broken in, I wouldn't mess w/ it!!! Just wait, and break it in yourself...trust me!!

Same here, I bet I hit 4500 rpm at least a dozen times on the way home from the dealer.

You also don't want to put it on the interstate the first 1k and keep it at one speed.
You should vary the rpm's. Just boutght a 745Li and the instructions say keep rpm's down and vary them for the first 1,200 miles. It also says keep it under 105mph.

Keep the rpm's and speed varying under 4k for like 1200 miles and u should be straight. I think the TL's dont have any break-in period but I mean common sense says to be easy on the car in the beginning at least.
