So the time has come for new floor mats. well more specifically the passenger side floor mat has a huge stain from who knows what (Before you judge me as a absent minded fool it's my girls car)

Anyways I don't really justify paying $130 from Infiniti for a set of floor mats. I've checked Ebay and no luck with OEM stuff so far.

any ideas fellas?

thanks in advance,

ricky

Well I bought the Luxury Advantage mats from ...shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Weather Tech I think....I think Griots also sells them. Anyway, they were supposed to be custom fit for each car. The reason I wanted these was because they are carpeted with only slight rubber edge and they hold alot of water. They looked nice but....They are not CUSTOM fit....more like KINDA CUSTOM FIT....Okay I could live with that, the rears you have to cut...again no biggie...my big issue was the driver side mat catching the gas pedal on the floor........ummmm can you see that wasn't fun!!! After the second time I ripped it out and threw it in the trunk!

If you wanna try cleaning it, it's fairly simple. Pick up some simple green or other degreaser, vaccuum mats, spritz with water, spritz with degreaser and scrub with brush...work up a decent lather. Light water mist again...then use liquid laundry detergent, use about half a cap ful, drizzle sporadically on mats (front 2), spritz with water again and scrub with stiff bristle brush. Then use jet setting on hose and rinse VERY WELL. Helps to go both against n with the grain. I prefer leaning them vertically to rinse. After suds are gone, hang in sun to dry! LIKE NEW!!! Sounds like alot of work but it really isn't...maybe 15 minutes for all the mats!

hey canton, thanks for that post. I PMed the guy so we shall see whats up... The mats she has now are in horrible shape. she has 2 smaller brothers and from time to time they come out with us, can you say ice cream/chocolate/grease stains? I mean, how do you get grease stains on the carpet?

hey Ichiban I cant help it man, if you knew what my girl looked like you'd be buying mats if she wanted them too!! LOL

I may even spring for the new Infiniti mats, along with a set of all season mats as well hahaha

I believe I saw someone post on G35driver that he is parting out his black interior. I believe he wanted $70 for the mats but I would only offer up to about 50 if I were you.

It's worth a shot!

I have a complete set of OEM tan carpeted mats out of my 04. They are used but in excellent condition.
